Martin Giroux first rose to fame on Star Académie in 2004, before being cast in roles in major musical productions in Quebec and Europe, such as Dracula, Notre-Dame de Paris, and Pub Royal – La comédie musicale des Cowboys Fringants."Ever since I discovered this great man, Richard Desjardins has been part of my life! From my first road trip at the age of 16, to those evenings when we had fun playing his songs, to today, when I sit down to enjoy the magnificent works of this wonderful poet, author, and musician, his entire body of work has shaped who I am. Since Richard Desjardins has been present at every stage of my life, I wanted to pay tribute to him. His lyrics and melodies are at the heart of this concert, interspersed with personal anecdotes related to my love for his songs.
